Scope of the Policy

This Dispute Resolution Policy applies to all users of Nexis Ventures’ services, including registered members, investors, and third parties interacting with our platform. It governs disputes arising from:

• Membership agreements
• Investment processes or decisions
• Use of Nexis Ventures’ website, services, or materials
• Any other interactions or engagements with Nexis Ventures

2. Initial Resolution Process

We encourage all parties to resolve disputes informally before initiating formal procedures.

• Step 1: Raise Your Concern
  Email us at admin@nexisventures.ca with the subject “Dispute Resolution Request.” Provide a detailed description of your issue, including relevant documentation.

• Step 2: Response Time
  Nexis Ventures will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to resolve the issue within 3 business days after receiving all necessary information.

• Step 3: Negotiation
  Both parties will engage in good-faith negotiations to resolve the dispute amicably.

3. Mediation

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, Nexis Ventures offers mediation as an alternative to litigation. Mediation is a collaborative process facilitated by a neutral third party.

• Mediator Selection
  Both parties will agree on a certified mediator from a recognized and reputable institution.
• Costs
  The costs of mediation will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
• Outcome
  Mediation outcomes are not binding unless both parties agree to a written settlement.

4. Arbitration

Should mediation fail, disputes will proceed to arbitration, which is binding and final.

• Governing Rules
  Arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the Arbitration Act of the applicable province, unless otherwise agreed.

• Location and Language
  Arbitration will take place in Edmonton, Alberta and proceedings will be conducted in English.

• Costs
  Arbitration costs will be shared equally unless decided otherwise by the arbitrator.
• Decision
  The arbitrator’s decision will be final and enforceable in a court of law.

5. Exclusions

This policy does not apply to disputes:

• Involving criminal activities
• Outside the jurisdiction of Nexis Ventures’ operations
• That require immediate legal intervention

6. Governing Law

This Dispute Resolution Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada, as applicable.

7. Modifications to This Policy

Nexis Ventures reserves the right to amend this Dispute Resolution Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and members will be notified via email or other official communication channels.
